Perpetual licenses, maintenance, and subscriptions
The right to use software, access to updates, and the right to install it for multiple people are separate questions.
Perpetual describes a right to use
PDF-XChange describes its end-user licenses as perpetual. That does not mean every future release, all products, or unlimited users are included.
Maintenance controls update entitlement
PDF-XChange maintenance gives you access to builds released during the coverage period. When coverage ends, your key can still activate eligible builds. Keep a copy of the installer for the version you use.
User count is not device count
PDF-XChange describes end-user licensing on a per-user basis and does not support concurrent licensing. Read its current licensing page and EULA for installation rights and exceptions.
A subscription requires its own terms
For a subscription offer, check billing interval, renewal, cancellation, platform, and included services. Do not carry assumptions from a perpetual product over to a different publisher’s plan.
